At first glance, attempting to read the Nutrition Facts label on the back of a food item can seem worse than trying to decipher the diagram on a piece of Ikea furniture. However, with a little bit of explanation, you, too, can learn to decode the “language” of food labels and use them as the practical tools that they are.  Why are they useful? Simply said, learning how to read, and understand, food labels can help you manage your weight and control, and/or reduce health issues such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
