Take Pride Tuesday - Albert Revoltos Cano : Fierce, focused, and oh so friendly!
It is difficult to find someone as consistently cheerful as our beloved Denizen, Albert. You can be sure when he walks through the door that he has a smile and greeting for everyone. And the best part? It is matched my his intense commitment to his work in and out of the gym! We are pleased to showcase this fierce (but friendly) member of our community!
My name is Albert Revoltós Cano, I was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain. And I have been living in New York for 2 and a half years now. I speak Catalan and Spanish as my mother tongue and also fluent in English, trilingual!
I graduated Chiropractic school in Barcelona in 2014, it’s a 5 years program in Europe. Since 2007 my family and I own two chiropractic offices in Barcelona, at one point it was three (another one in Madrid). I love what I do and thanks to my profession have had the opportunity to travel to some awesome places.
In 2013, I did a Chiropractic mission trip to Haiti and Dominican Republic, it was a once in a life time experience. There I met Carla, who is my wife now. After that I lived in DR for one year, moved back to Barcelona and finally moved to New York, she is the reason I’m here.
I’ve done many personal development courses and leadership programs, where in one of them I got to do a fire walk. It was amazing to see and understand how we create limitations, and when we get out of our heads we are capable of doing anything we set our minds to. I currently staff and coach at a great place called Synergy Education Inc.
I enjoy life and take advantage of any opportunity to do something that I love or something new.
I have always been a very active person. I start playing soccer when I was 4 until my late twenties. I like traveling, explore new places and food. I’m very interested in nutrition and eating healthy, so much so that my wife and I currently have helped over 200 people from all over the world experience health transformation with a nutrition system we love! Yes, once in a while I like to indulge, especially if its pasta.
I’ve done snowboarding for eight consecutive years, the best place I’ve been to was the French alps, and I dream one day to snowboarding in Aspen, Colorado. I love volleyball, especially at the beach, something I did all the time in Barcelona. I am now playing indoor volleyball in NYC. I also CrossFit for 3 years, and now I’m here at Iron Lion.
I found Iron Lion through our CrossFit coach when they closed down their space. It’s been a year and a half working out at “the den” and I am so happy of the decision we made to join them. I really like all the coaches here, the knowledge they have, the community they create and the energy at the Den is fun, challenging and encouraging!
I found a new enthusiasm for kettlebell training, and for the technique behind it. To the point that I participated in a Tactical Strength Challenge and now want to get certified for the Strong First Certification.
I’m feeling stronger and in the best shape ever and being here feels like home to me. I encourage everyone to live healthy, be the best version of yourself, keep active and working out. And remember that we are capable of doing anything we set our minds to. See you at the Den!!!
