Wellness Wednesday: Let's Talk About Snacks Part Deux

Hello denizens! Welcome back for round two of Wellness Wednesday, where we deal with ways to control holiday snacking.  Let’s get started. Like I mentioned in my previous blog post, one way to get the best bang out of your snacks is to make sure that they balance protein, fat and carbs. This keeps you feeling fuller for longer.  Here’s a few ideas that travel well and are packed with protein.

1.     Meat and Spinach Muffins-

These little guys are one of my go-to recipes. They store and freeze great, and they’re great anytime of the day.

2.  If you cant get behind the idea of savory stuff as a snack? Well if you need to satisfy your sweet tooth when its snack time, look no further than these little gems. The addition of whey protein balances out the carbs in these muffins nicely, making this a great anytime snack.

3.     Feel like you can’t be bothered to prep another thing? Then don’t. Natural beef jerky, fresh fruit, cut vegetables and low fat individual cheeses make great options that require no prep and travel like real champs.
