The Monday Mindset: You vs You

Anything we want to achieve in life is up to us - education, career, a big daddy deadlift, a sexy snatch, weight loss, a half marathon, hiking across a foreign country - but first you have to see it, you have to believe it, and then you have to go and achieve it.

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

We are champions - our largest motivators and our biggest supporters. We are also our biggest critics - our own doubters and disbelievers. So remember this: it’s only You vs You. We’re in a head game with ourselves. No one and nothing else matters once we solve ourselves. Part of finding ourselves involves confronting the doubter - the silent negative person on our shoulder saying “it’s too hard”, “you’re not ready”, “you can’t do this”. To silence the other person you have to continually talk to this person - yourself - and listen.

Once you decide to get out of your head and focus on something you want, you will undoubtable get it. It may be difficult, and the journey may be bumpy, but what is at the end of the road are all the affirmations a champion, and your biggest supporter ready to take on the next journey, but with a stronger mindset.
